### **What is fiSHed?**
fiSHed is the ultimate fishing companion app for Australian anglers. Track your catches, get AI-powered fishing intelligence, access real-time weather and tides, and connect with the fishing community.
### **Is fiSHed free?**
Yes! fiSHed is free to download and use. We offer a Premium subscription for ad-free experience and unlimited catch photos.
### **Which devices does fiSHed work on?**
fiSHed works on iPhone and iPad running iOS 15.0 or later.
### **Do I need an account?**
Yes. You can sign up with:
– Email & Password
– Sign in with Apple
– Twitch account
### **Is my data safe?**
Absolutely! We use industry-standard Firebase security. Your exact catch locations are private – only you can see them. Read our Privacy Policy – fiSHed (Privacy Policy – fiSHed) for details.

### **How many fish species are in the guide?**
100+ Queensland fish species with detailed information, regulations, size limits, bag limits, and fishing techniques.
### **Are fishing regulations up to date?**
We update regularly, but **always verify current regulations** with Queensland Fisheries. Regulations are informational only – you’re responsible for legal compliance.
### **How do I search for a fish?**
Tap “Fish Guide” and use the search bar. You can search by common name or scientific name.
### **What if I can’t find a fish?**
Let us know! Email support@fished.com.au with the fish name and we’ll add it.

## 📸 **Catch Logging**
### **How do I log a catch?**
1. Tap the “+” button or “Log a Catch”
2. Add photos (up to 3 free, 10 with Premium)
3. Select species, enter length/weight
4. Add notes (optional)
5. Submit!
### **What is Fishing Mode?**
Fishing Mode automatically captures environmental conditions (weather, tides, wind, swell, moon phase, pressure) when you log catches. Turn it on before you head out!
### **Why enable Fishing Mode?**
Over time, fiSHed learns what conditions produce YOUR best catches and gives you personalized recommendations.
### **Can I edit or delete catches?**
Yes! View your catch history, tap any catch, and you can edit or delete it.
### **How many photos can I add?**
– **Free:** Up to 3 photos per catch
– **Premium:** Up to 10 photos per catch
### **Are my catches public?**
No, catches are **private by default**. You can choose to share them publicly on the Billboard when logging or editing.

### **Why does fiSHed need location access?**
Location is used to:
– Tag catches with GPS coordinates
– Show your catches on the map
– Provide accurate local weather and tides
– Capture environmental data in Fishing Mode
### **Can other users see my exact fishing spots?**
No! Your exact GPS coordinates are **private**. If you share a catch publicly, others only see the general area (suburb/region).
### **How do I view my hotspots?**
Go to “My Spots Map” to see all your catches plotted. Filter by species to identify your best fishing locations!

## 🧠 **Fishing Intelligence Hub**
### **What is Fishing Intelligence?**
AI-powered analytics that learn from YOUR catch history. Get insights on:
– Best fishing times (dawn, dusk, etc.)
– Optimal conditions (weather, tides, moon phases)
– Species success rates
– Location patterns
### **Why isn’t Intelligence Hub showing data?**
You need to log catches first! The more catches you log (especially with Fishing Mode enabled), the better your insights become.
### **How accurate is Fishing Intelligence?**
It’s based on YOUR fishing patterns. The more data you provide, the more accurate and personalized your insights become.

## 🤖 **Spanner AI Assistant**
### **What is Spanner?**
Spanner is your voice-activated fishing regulations assistant. Ask Siri for legal sizes and bag limits hands-free!
### **How do I set up Spanner?**
1. Go to Settings > Siri & Search > Shortcuts
2. Find “Check Legal Size” or “Check Bag Limit”
3. Add the shortcuts
4. Say: “Hey Siri, check legal size for snapper”
### **What can Spanner tell me?**
– Legal minimum sizes
– Bag limits
– Basic species information
### **Spanner isn’t finding my fish. Why?**
Try using the full common name (e.g., “Yellowfin Bream” not just “Bream”). If it still doesn’t work, check the Fish Guide to see if that species is in our database.

## 🌊 **Weather & Tides**
### **Where does weather data come from?**
We use multiple Australian sources including Bureau of Meteorology and marine weather services for accurate local conditions.
### **How far ahead are tide predictions?**
7 days of tide predictions for major Australian fishing locations.
### **Why isn’t my location showing weather?**
Make sure:
1. Location services are enabled for fiSHed
2. You have internet connection
3. You’re in Australia (app is designed for Australian waters)

## 👥 **Community (Billboard)**
### **What is the Billboard?**
The Billboard is where anglers share their public catches, connect, and celebrate epic catches!
### **How do I share a catch?**
When logging a catch, toggle “Share Publicly” ON. Or edit an existing catch and make it public.
### **Can I unlike or uncomment?**
Yes! Tap your like/comment again to remove it.
### **How do I report inappropriate content?**
Email us at support@fished.com.au with details. We take community safety seriously.
### **Can I make my catch private again?**
Yes! Edit the catch and toggle “Share Publicly” OFF.

### **What do I get with Premium?**
– **Ad-free experience** – No advertisements
– **10 photos per catch** – vs 3 for free users
– **Priority support** – Faster response times

### **How do I subscribe?**
Tap “Upgrade to Premium” in Profile or when adding photos to a catch.
### **How do I cancel?**
iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > fiSHed > Cancel Subscription
### **Do I get a refund if I cancel?**
Subscriptions are non-refundable, but you keep Premium until the end of your billing period.
### **Can I restore my subscription on another device?**
Yes! Tap “Restore Purchases” in Profile > Subscription settings.

## 🛠️ **Troubleshooting**
### **The app crashed. What do I do?**
1. Force close the app
2. Restart your device
3. Check for app updates in App Store
4. If it persists, email support@fished.com.au
### **Photos won’t upload. Why?**
– Check your internet connection
– Make sure fiSHed has photo library access (Settings > Privacy > Photos)
– Try smaller photos or fewer at once
– Free users: max 3 photos per catch
### **Map isn’t showing my catches.**
– Enable location services for fiSHed
– Make sure you logged catches with location enabled
– Check if catches have GPS data (older catches might not)
### **”Fishing Mode” isn’t capturing data.**
– Enable location “While Using App” in Settings
– Make sure Fishing Mode is toggled ON before heading out
– Check your internet connection for weather/tide data
### **Sign in issues.**
– Check your internet connection
– Verify email/password are correct
– Try “Forgot Password” if needed

### **How do I change my email?**
Currently, email is linked to your account. Contact support@fished.com.au for assistance.
### **How do I change my display name?**
Profile > Edit Profile > Update Display Name
### **How do I delete my account?**
Email support@fished.com.au with “Delete Account” in the subject. We’ll delete your data within 30 days.
### **What data is deleted when I delete my account?**
Everything:
– All catches and photos
– Profile information
– Community posts and comments
– Intelligence data
This cannot be undone!

### **How do I get better Intelligence insights?**
1. Enable Fishing Mode before every session
2. Log all your catches (even small ones!)

### **What’s the best time to fish?**
Check your Intelligence Hub! It learns YOUR best times based on your catch history. Generally:
– Dawn and dusk are productive
– Incoming tides are often good
– Check moon phases (new/full moons)
### **Does fiSHed work offline?**
Some features work offline (viewing saved catches, fish guide basics), but you’ll need internet for:
– Weather and tides
– GPS tagging new catches
– Community features
– Intelligence updates
